Since the founding of SPWO, the main expenses of the foundation have consisted of personnel costs for the dredging/offshore pastor and his relievers. In addition, SPWO covers approximately 50% of the costs of the magazine Diepgang/DeepEnd, which is distributed among the internationally operating fleets of the marine contractors.
The income of SPWO mainly comes from sponsorship contributions from dredging companies, supporting companies in the marine construction sector, the Training and Development Fund for Marine Construction (SOOW), and the Dutch Association of Marine Contractors.
The Dutch Tax Authorities have approved SPWO’s application for ANBI status (Public Benefit Organisation). The recognition has already been granted, on the condition that one point in the foundation’s statutes is amended. The board has agreed to this amendment, and the formal legal process through a notary is currently underway.
The SPWO board is very pleased with this recognition, because it means that individuals who wish to support SPWO financially through donations, long-term giving agreements, or legacies may receive important tax benefits. You are therefore warmly invited to support SPWO.
